Budget help and consumer rights
 
ACEFs (Association Coopérative d’Économie Familiale) are community consumer rights organizations. One of their services is to offer practical advice on overcoming financial difficulties and paying off debts.

Help for spouses and other family members
 
GamAnon is an anonymous support group for people who have excessive gamblers in their lives. GamAnon help all those affected by gambling deal with the situation and set their boundaries.

Crisis intervention 
 
Problem gambling can lead to crisis situations, both for gamblers and the people around them (depression, violence, bereavement, etc.). Crisis Centres offer specialized services and temporary housing assistance.

Casino self-exclusion
 
To prevent problem gambling, a number of organizations offer gamblers the option of signing a self-exclusion agreement with the casino in their area (from 3 months to 5 years).
Gamblers can also speak directly to a casino staff member to request a self-exclusion agreement.

Gambler self-support groups 
 
Gamblers Anonymous is an anonymous group where gamblers share their experiences, strengths, and hopes in their struggle against problem gambling. Membership with Gamblers Anonymous is free.

Suicide prevention
 
Problem gambling can lead to isolation and intense distress for gamblers. They may even think about suicide. Association québécoise de prévention du suicide is a suicide prevention organization. It offers literature, suicide prevention information, activities, and specialists in the field.
